MEDICAL DIRECTOR OF STAY ACTIVE FOOTCARE

Every story has its roots, and mine begins in Vietnam, where the seeds of love, kindness, hard work, family, and appreciation were sown. As an immigrant navigating the complexities of a new country, I have been shaped by the unwavering support of my family and friends, whose belief in me has been a beacon of hope throughout my journey.

When I first arrived in the United States, I faced many challenges, not the least of which was starting from the bottom. My first job as a janitor taught me the value of hard work and humility. Though the job was demanding, it instilled in me a strong work ethic that would serve as a foundation for my future endeavors. I remember those long hours of cleaning, feeling the weight of my dreams pressing down on me. But with each sweep of the floor, I was reminded that every step forward, no matter how small, was a part of my journey.

The love and support of my family and friends were instrumental in my progress. Their encouragement fueled my resolve to pursue education. With their help, I returned to school and completed four years of college, an achievement that felt monumental. This was just the beginning; I then set my sights on medical school. The rigorous training that followed shaped my character and honed my skills, preparing me for a career dedicated to helping others.

In 1999, I proudly graduated from medical school and began a five-year podiatry residency. The challenges were immense, but I was driven by a passion for healing and a commitment to my community. In 2005, I opened my practice in Jackson Heights, where I have spent over 20 years treating patients with foot problems. Each patient represents a unique story, and their trust in me is one of the greatest sources of satisfaction in my life. It is a privilege to help them regain their mobility and quality of life, and their gratitude reminds me of why I chose this path.

Family has always been at the heart of my journey. Together with my wife of 25 years and our 10-year-old daughter, we have built a life filled with love and joy. Our two loving cats add to the warmth of our home, reminding us the simple pleasures in life. The laughter we share and the memories we create together are treasures I hold dear.

As an immigrant, I have a profound appreciation for the opportunities this country has afforded me. The freedom to pursue my dreams and the chance to make a difference in the lives of others are gifts I do not take for granted. I am committed to giving back, sharing the kindness I have received, and helping those who are also striving for a better life.

In my leisure time, I find joy in traveling and meeting friends with my family. Whether it’s exploring new cultures or enjoying a friendly game of table tennis, these moments of connection enrich my life. They remind me that while hard work is essential, it is the relationships we build that truly define our journey.

Looking back, I am grateful for the love, kindness, and the support that have guided me. My story is not just about personal achievement; it is a testament to the power of community, the importance of hard work, and the value of appreciating every moment. As I continue to treat my patients and nurture my family, I carry with me the lessons learned through every challenge and triumph. My journey is ongoing, and with love and gratitude as my guiding lights, I look forward to the future with hope and excitement.
